Here is my take on successful people. I think people succeed because of talent and luck. Talent not only to make use of the resources around them to make something good come out of it but the tenacity to see it through. Be it talent to hone a craft, to build up a business etc. I agree with Malcolm Gladwell in Outliers that it takes at least 10 years for someone to be good at something; to gain experience points and succeed in his/her industry.
I am often not able to persist in something. I take up many hobbies but am not good at them. So right now, I am determined to work at being good at something and not to give up whenever a stalemate is reached.
